Now that construction is complete at the 727 S. Sycamore home, our work days have ended for a while. Please watch this space for information once we start our next project (likely in May 2010).
Normally we work every Saturday, beginning at 8:00 a.m. End time depends on how much work there is available and how many volunteers we have. Lunch will be provided. There is no need to register. All who have a willing heart are welcome. Come when you can, stay as long as you are able. Please wear sturdy shoes and bring gloves and any hand tools you are willing to share. If you have questions about the work day, please email us at hfhofc@sbcglobal.net.
In the event of inclement weather, an announcement will be posted on this site and also sent to everyone on our emailing list.
We have just learned that since our affliate was founded we have served 15 families worldwide! In addition to the 15 homes in Franklin County that we have rehabilitated or built new, through our tithe to Habitat International, we have helped an additional 15 families with a 14-year total tithe of $44,000! Praise God! THANK YOU for helping to make this happen.

I’m interested in two things. One , how do I go about meeting someone regarding volunteering and secondly how can I nominate someone who needs a home. His is condemed and he still tries to stay in it at times becasue he has no other place to live. It has no heat, cooling, running water or complete electricity.
Hello,
You can learn all about volunteering with our Habitat affiliate by joining us at our Habitat Info Night on Monday, March 29th at 6:30 p.m. at the Franklin County Visitor’s Center.
Regarding nominating someone for consideration as a partner family, please leave a message on our office phone number and our Family Selection committee will get back to you. Our number is: 785-242-2600. Please remember that we are a completely volunteer organization, so it may take some time to get back to you.
Thank you,
Carine Ullom
